Privacy and analytics
ScienceBits uses only optional, audience-level analytics.
Google Analytics
ScienceBits uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate use of the site, such as pages viewed, referral sources, browser and device information, and approximate location. This helps us understand which articles and tools are useful.
Advertising, remarketing, and Google Signals are disabled everywhere. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default. Google Analytics may use limited cookieless measurement pings there, rather than analytics cookies or normal visitor identifiers.
Outside those regions, Google Analytics can use analytics storage for ordinary audience measurement.
Google’s handling of data
If analytics is enabled, Google processes the measurement data under itsPrivacy Policy. This page is a plain-language description of ScienceBits’ use of analytics and is not legal advice.
